Trademark Ownership & Protection

Bert the Bat™ is a registered trademark application filed with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) under Class 9 and Class 16, protecting the name for use in educational materials, digital publications, and children’s books. The trademark ensures exclusive rights to the use of “Bert the Bat” in connection with printed and downloadable teaching resources, literacy aids, and storytelling products.

Intended Use of the Trademark

The trademark “Bert the Bat™” will be actively used in commerce for the following purposes:

• Printed & Digital Educational Resources: Phonics, literacy, and Key Stage 1 classroom materials.
• Children’s Books & Stories: Illustrated picture books and digital e-books.
• Downloadable Learning Tools: Printable worksheets, charts, posters, and planners for teachers, parents, and students.
• Branding & Marketing: The trademark will be displayed on all Bert the Bat-related publications, promotional materials, and product listings.

Trademark Notice & Enforcement

• The “™” symbol will be used immediately to indicate an active trademark claim while the UKIPO application is under review. Upon successful registration, the “®” symbol will be used.

Evidence of Use & Protection Strategy
